John Gargani has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh. John is currently Vice President – Human Resources at Southwestern Energy Company, a position to which he was appointed in May 2015. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President and General Manager – Strategy, Performance and Innovation; Vice President and General Manager – Midstream Services; Vice President – Economic Planning & Acquisitions;

Keynote Speakers

Chris Barnesby has 20 years’ experience across oil, gas and mining, ranging from frontline operational management, maintenance, functions and project management across a variety of countries and businesses.

She began her current career as a graduate with BHP in 1996. She worked for several years in various operational and project roles in the steel and iron ore sector in Australia, transferring in 2005 into to the oil and gas business based in the United States.   Full biography >> 

 

Elijah White, Jr. was appointed Vice President of ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company in July 2015. A native of Wilson, North Carolina, Mr. White earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology from Elizabeth City State University in 1981 and a Master’s of Science in Geology from The University of North Carolina in 1984 before joining the company in Houston as an exploration geoscientist.

In 1991, Elijah moved to Exxon Exploration Company where he served as the technical team lead in the Asia Pacific Project. Full biography >>

Carri Lockhart
has had an extensive career in the oil and gas industry, primarily with Marathon Oil Company before joining Statoil in May 2016 as Senior Vice President responsible for Statoil’s US offshore business.

Carri started her career with Marathon as a reservoir engineer in Anchorage, Alaska and spent her early career working as a reservoir and production/operations engineer in Alaska and Texas regions. Full biography >>    |  PRESENTATION

Don Hutson is what one would call a renaissance man. With a doctorate in music, he has been a businessman, successfully running a retail corporation, as well as an educator, teaching at both the high school and college levels. Then, in his mid 50s’ after losing his entire personal fortune, he came to Houston to start his life over and started training horses. Mary Alaniz
is the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of Surface in GE Oil & Gas. Her background encompasses Upstream, Downstream and Midstream Oil & Gas C-level Executive support. She began her Oil & Gas career in 2005 and has since worked for companies such as Tejas Power
Corporation, VetcoGray, ConocoPhillips, BP and GE Oil & Gas.  Mary has made a successful career in the administrative field and advocates the importance and value of Administrative Assistants in the workplace as well as the need for mentoring and continuing education to administrative employees.

La Donna Finnels-Neal is the founder of Oil and Gas Admins International, a networking and educational non-profit trade organization for administrative and support professionals with careers in the oil, gas and energy industry.  Her goal is to
continuously seek ways to help others succeed and to live their lives to the fullest.  Her motto is “Love your life…if you don’t love it…change it!  Make it happy!”, and she strives to live it daily!  She has over 20 years experience in oil, gas and energy industries.

Rebecca Hubbard is a seasoned Senior Admin and Technical Training Coordinator with over 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas field. She has extensive experience with all administrative tasks, including the ability to tailor her skills to meet any demand that her job requires and has increased her efficiency in several of her assigned roles.

Rebecca is also the 2017 Executive Ambassador for Oil & Gas Admins International where she leads a team of 16 global ambassadors for the organization.
