Rebecca K. Skiba currently serves as the Vice President of Communications and Government Relations for Marathon Oil and is charged with managing the corporate communications, government and community relations, social investments, sustainability reporting, and employee political action committee functions of the Company.

Prior to this role, Rebecca served as Assistant General Counsel for Regulatory and Government Affairs, and had responsibility for government and community relations, philanthropy, sustainability, employee political action committee, and health, environment, safety and security law functions.

Prior to joining Marathon Oil in 2010, Rebecca was [an attorney] at Norton Rose Fulbright in Houston, where she practiced environmental and energy law for upstream oil and gas companies, working to help clients adapt their historically less regulated shale plays to the increasingly stringent regulatory environment of the past decade.

Rebecca holds a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated summa cum laude with her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2002.
