ABOUT THE CERTIFICATION

The OGAP certification is the first of its kind for oil and energy industry administrative support professionals. Industry administrative professionals, employed by global industry giants, independent E&P companies as well as grass-root small businesses, created the Oil and Gas Administrative Professionals (OGAP) certification. The certification’s robust criterion is designed to measure and validate the OGAP’s proven understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the oil & energy industry and administrative support standards, add to the OGAP’s technical knowledge, and provide a venue that defines the OGAP’s value and improved marketability within the oil and energy industry. The program is endorsed by oil and industry experts and leaders from a cross-section of global oil and energy companies and organizations.

This certification demonstrates “industry” knowledge and is in no way specifically based on operations or policies of one particular oil and energy company or organization.

It was a Cinco de Mayo inspired celebration complete with fajitas and frozen margaritas as O&GA networked with new members and familiar faces. Event attendees had the pleasure of hearing Ashild Hanne Larsen, Statoil’s (now Equinor) CIO and SVP Corporate IT as she shared insight into our digital, virtual and robotic future.

Sending a BIG THANK YOU to Goode Company BBQ for hosting O&GA International’s May 17th Networking Event! Goode Company BBQ provided empanadas, brisket and turkey sliders and a delicious avocado bar. Of course no Goode Company event would be complete without their delicious pecan pie, and the attendees loved the bit sized pieces. Great new connections were made and there were a great number of new attendees.

Guests had the opportunity to view Goode Company BBQ’s fabulous restaurant – some for the very first time, and some attendees won fantastic raffle prizes!
